Steam Railways
Travel like a Victorian on a riverside railway
Just 2 miles downstream at Henllan there is the Teifi Valley Railway who run a mixture of steam and diesel locomotives on a historic narrow gauge track. This is the railway that at one time would have passed through the railway tunnel opposite our farm. The track follows the river and a trip can easily be combined with a nice walk through woodland to see the rapids at Henllan.
Alternatively, the Gwili Railway runs full size steam locomotives along a picturesque section of track beside the Gwili river (just this side of Carmarthen). The 8 mile round trip lasts an hour.
