Ancient Woods & Waterfalls
Walk beneath mighty trees or take a dip in a waterfall’s plunge-pool
The Ffynone Waterfalls in the woods near Boncath are 25 mins from us and are just a short walk though gorgeous woodland to arrive at them. Brave souls can paddle or swim in the plunge pool.
This can easily be combined with a visit to Cenarth, famous for the waterfalls in the river, its handsome stone bridge, holy spring, history of coracle fishing and its association with Welsh legends recounted in The Mabinogion. There is a raised riverside walkway that you can follow along the river there and a number of good pubs and tea rooms.
Closer to home there is Henllan which is just 2 miles from the farm, again with a fine stone bridge and walks through ancient woodland, following the river as it flows over a series of picturesque rapids.
