Glamping & Camping in West Wales.

Stunning riverside organic farm.

For peace, relaxation, or adventure, Henfryn is the perfect place for your glamping holiday. Whether it’s a family holiday in our bell tents, cosy couple’s weekend in our shepherds hut or group gathering, a warm farmer’s welcome awaits you.

Stay on a  small but perfectly formed working organic farm. It is home to a herd of Hereford Cattle which supply us with beef for our box scheme and steaks and burgers for our guests, as well as Maggie & Demelza our two much loved Jersey Cows which provide milk for the farm. A flock of Llanwenog Sheep also call Henfryn home, a truly local breed producing lovely meat and fleece. There is also the usual assortment of chickens, ducks and geese found on a small farm, along with friendly farm dogs. Glamping and farming go hand in hand here. The lush camping meadows don’t only look beautiful, they are used to grow hay to feed the animals over winter, then later in the year they provide grazing for the cattle and sheep. The livestock provide our visitors with exceptional quality meat and augment the stunning farm setting the tents are situated in.

We are set on the banks of the river Teifi. One of our bell tents (Derwen) is on the river bank and another (Onnen) is set up above it with a view of the gorge through the trees. The river is accessible to all our guests, whether to paddle, canoe or swim. It also attracts an abundance of wildlife, with otters, dippers and kingfishers often sighted.

When you’ve had enough of the farm’s peace and tranquillity or just need remind yourself that there is more to a West Wales Holiday than Henfryn ( we tend to forget this ourselves sometimes) there is plenty to do nearby. The Ceredigion coast is a short drive away with lots of stunning beaches as well as the coastal path. Mountain biking, horse riding, walking and boat trips can all be arranged a short distance from the farm. There are plenty of canoe, kyak or sailing options near by too. Out and about there are the market towns of Newcastle Emlyn, Llandysul, Lampeter and Cardigan as well as attractions such as the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, the Woollen Museum, Cilgerran Wildlife Centre and the Gwili Steam Railway to name a few.

Our special part of the natural world and how we look after it are fundamentally important to us here at Henfryn. Sharing this with our visitors is our greatest pleasure. We are an Organic Farm, registered with the Soil Association, and farm in a relaxed way, with the highest standards of animal welfare. We are proud to be a Greener Camping Club site, whose mission is to minimise the impact of holidays on the environment, with a focus on recycling, renewable energy and even a carbon offsetting scheme. We aim to support our local community through buying local produce and using local services, and encourage our guests to do the same.
